T & J's Reading Nook

T & J wanted wanted a haven to enjoy their copious collection of books.  They decided on a corner bookshelf and window bench in the master bedroom.  The storage bench has a storage compartment as well as cubbies in the front for plenty of storage.  They wanted a simple and straightforward style similar to the other bookshelves in their home. I made the shelves an all pine construction and the bench a combination of pine board and birch plywood.  The shelves and bench each took two days to build in my shop, and we split the installation into two phases: I installed the shelves over one weekend, and two weeks later, I installed the bench in another weekend.
